Because it’s going to be a busy two months.
As many of you know, I’ve been slowly building out a consultancy since September. December was a low, low, scary, no good month. The work had dried up as companies were closing out their year. January started out just as slow as December, but in the past three days, I’m starting to realize that life is about to hit the gas pedal.
What does this mean? It means that I’m about to get bat-crap crazy busy. Between a partnership with a group in Seattle and two other companies, we have over 37 proposals out. It looks like about 50% of those proposals are going to hit between now and Feb 15th.
Dear Sweet Baby Nordstrom. I’m thrilled, but in a way, slightly nervous. I’ve developed my own pace for the past 5 months, as a course correction to the insane roller coaster that I had been riding for the previous 15 months. I’m excited that there is good work coming through. I’m blessed to have people wanting to take a risk, but I also think that there is going to be an influx of 5 Hour Energy purchasing and white-boarding schedules, task lists and to-do’s.
I think my travel schedule is about to pick up. Vegas, SF, and NYC in the next 6 weeks.
As Martha would say “this is a good thing.”
Most importantly, the one thing I need to remember is “breathe.”
I’m kinda glad that I got the office in order this weekend Hulk and Wonder Woman will be looking over me and reminding me to be most excellent.
